Loose ends & discrepancies

1. No Writings index page

The old site had /writings with archives and tags. This Jekyll theme only has composition, performance, and workshops category pages. Writings posts use category: writings and will show on the home feed but not on a dedicated writings page unless you add one later.

2. External links still point to Wix

Many posts link to brandonlincolnsnyder.com/_files/ugd/... PDFs, old permalinks, and embedded media. Those URLs may break when Wix is taken down. Consider downloading PDFs into assets/ and updating links.

3. YouTube / media gaps

The Wix scrape for brrrr did not capture the main full-performance YouTube embed—only the shorts link. Your edited 2022-06-02-brrrr.md still has the better embed.

4. Workshop vs. tutorial naming

• Wix: single-post-p5-sound-crash-course-javascript-for-sound-artists (WebSoundArt tutorial article)
• Jekyll: 2023-06-03-javascript-for-sound-artists.md (6-week Browser Sound course)

These are related but different content; both were kept.

5. Performance history

Some imported works include a ## Performance History section in the post body. The site also supports _data/events for the performance-history.html include, but imported events were not added to that YAML file.

6. Images

• 22 images were copied from the scraper; many posts reference images still hosted on Wix CDN paths that were not downloaded.
• Duplicate featured image appears in some posts (hero + inline same file).

7. Formatting artifacts

• Program notes from Wix sometimes have excessive blank lines / spacing (e.g. tree and synthetic).
• Some subtitles picked up markdown link syntax from the first paragraph.
• *home* title retains escaped asterisks in places.

8. Posts on Jekyll not in Wix scrape

These exist only on the new site (added after or not on old Wix works list):

• Jam, Bppbch, Sea Fret, Spectator Sport, LUL solo set, NYPL workshops, etc.

9. sea-fret.md content issue (pre-existing)

2026-01-01-sea-fret.md currently contains brrrr copy and thumbnail—not Sea Fret content. This was not introduced by the import but is worth fixing separately.
